Edavanakad is a part ofVypin islands, which comes under theErnakulam district ofKerala, India.[1] It is a suburb ofKochi city. TheVypin -Munambam state highway passes through the village. Its western border isArabian Sea, the eastern Border isVembanadu Lake, the northern border isKuzhupilly village and the southern Border isNayarambalam village.
"Edavanakkad" is known as the heart of Vypin. It is the smallest village in Vypin Island. It contains 15 wards.[citation needed]
