Echo Kellum (born August 29, 1982)[2][3] is an American actor and comedian. Kellum is best known for his roles asCurtis Holt onThe CW drama seriesArrow, Tommy on theFox sitcomBen and Kate,[4] Hunter on theNBC sitcomSean Saves the World,[5] and Noah Koles on the NBC sitcomGrand Crew.[6]
Born inChicago,Illinois,[7] he moved to Los Angeles in late 2009 to pursue a career in comedy.[8] He is a graduate ofThe Groundlings,I.O. West, and theUpright Citizens Brigade.[4][8]
Kellum gained his first major role in 2012 when he was cast in the FOX comedyBen and Kate (then titledBen Fox Is My Manny) playing the role of Tommy, the best friend of the titular character Ben (Nat Faxon).[9] FollowingBen and Kate, Kellum was cast as Hunter in NBC'sSean Saves the World starringSean Hayes andMegan Hilty.
In 2015, Kellum was cast in the recurring role ofCurtis Holt, based on theDC Comics characterMister Terrific, in the fourth season ofThe CW drama seriesArrow.[10][11] Holt is a technological savant and inventor who initially works at Palmer Technologies under the supervision ofFelicity Smoak, and later becomes a member of Team Arrow. Kellum also went on to portray the character in theArrow spin-off seriesLegends of Tomorrow. In April 2016, it was announced that Kellum would be promoted to series regular for the fifth season ofArrow.[12] Kellum exited the series during itsseventh season in 2019.[13] He returned for two episodes inArrow's final season.[14]
In 2017,[15] Kellum appeared inNetflix'sGirlfriend's Day[16] as Madsen, beat poet and a co-worker ofBob Odenkirk's character.[17]
Kellum voices the character "King Joaquín" on theDisney Channel animated seriesElena of Avalor. He also voices multiple characters for theAdult Swim animated seriesRick and Morty.
In 2021, Kellum landed a role on the NBC seriesGrand Crew.
