
East Island is agranite island, with an area of 12.42ha, in south-easternAustralia. It is part ofTasmania’sHogan Group, lying in northernBass Strait between theFurneaux Group andWilsons Promontory inVictoria.
Recorded breedingseabird andwader species includelittle penguin,short-tailed shearwater,fairy prion,common diving petrel,Pacific gull andsooty oystercatcher.Reptiles present includeWhite's skink andmetallic skink.[1]
