Protein C-ETS2 is aprotein that in humans is encoded by theETS2gene.[5][6] Theprotein encoded by this gene belongs to theETS family of transcription factors.[5] It has been found to play a key role in the development ofinflammatory bowel disease.[7][8]

Clinical significance

[edit]

ETS2 has been linked to a variety of diseases, includingTakayasu's arteritis, inflammatory bowel disease, primary sclerosing cholangitis, andankylosing spondylitis, all associated with a region onchromosome 21 at21q22.[13]
