Dynamic Resolution Adaptation

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Audio codec standard

Dynamic Resolution Adaptation (DRA) was anaudioencoding specification developed by DigiRise Technology. It had been selected as theChinese national audio coding standard,[1] and declared suitable forChina Multimedia Mobile Broadcasting andDVB-H as addressed in theInternational Journal of Digital Multimedia Broadcasting.

The format was recognised by theCTA EDID Timing Extension Block standard (used by manyA/V interfaces) and theBlu-ray Disc specification, introduced with Blu-ray Disc 2.3.[2] There were no discs released with DRA audio, though there were expected to be such discs for the Chinese market but did not happen.
