Dylan Joseph DeLucia (born August 1, 2000) is an Americanprofessional baseballpitcher in theCleveland Guardians organization.
DeLucia graduated fromNew Smyrna Beach High School inNew Smyrna Beach, Florida. He began hiscollege baseball career atNorthwest Florida State College, before he transferred to theUniversity of Mississippi to play for theOle Miss Rebels after two seasons.[1][2] He was named theCollege World Series Most Outstanding Player for the2022 College World Series.[3] After the season,Baseball America named DeLucia a third teamAll-American.[4]
Eligible to be selected in the2022 Major League Baseball draft,[5] theCleveland Guardians selected DeLucia in the sixth round, with the 181st overall pick.[6] He signed with the Guardians for $275,000 on July 26, 2022.[7] DeLucia hadTommy John surgery after he signed and made his professional debut in a rehabilitation assignment in June 2024.[8] After completing his rehab assignment, DeLucia was assigned to theSingle-ALynchburg Hillcats. On July 22, 2024, DeLucia was promoted to theHigh-ALake County Captains.
