Dwight Junior Hardy (born December 2, 1986)[1][2] is an American professional basketball player, who lastly played forOGM Ormanspor of theBasketball Super League.
He also holds aCongolese passport.[3]
St. John's head coachSteve Lavin praised Hardy, calling him one of the best shooters he has ever coached.[4] In March 2011, Hardy was one of the 20 finalists selected for the covetedWooden Award.[5]
After a successful first season in Italy, averaging 22 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists per game forPistoia Basket, and receivingItalian 2nd Division MVP honors, Hardy signed withSidigas Avellino in theItalian 1st Division.[6] In January 2013, he parted ways with them.[7] In March 2013, he signed with the Italian 2nd Division clubSigma Barcellona for the remainder of the season.[8]
On June 22, 2013, Hardy signed with the Italian 1st Division clubVirtus Bologna.[9] In June 2014, he signed withTrabzonspor Basketball of theTurkish League for the 2014–15 season.[10]
On July 16, 2020, he has signed withOGM Ormanspor of theBasketball Super League.[11]
