TheNetherlands cricket team toured Qatar in January 2022 to play threeOne Day International (ODI) matches againstAfghanistan.[1][2] The ODI series formed part of the inaugural2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.[3][4] All three matches were played at theWest End Park International Cricket Stadium inDoha.[5][6]Hashmatullah Shahidi was named Afghanistan's ODI captain,[7] replacingAsghar Afghan.[8]
Afghanistan won the first ODI by 36 runs.[9] With a century fromRahmanullah Gurbaz, Afghanistan won the second ODI by 48 runs to win the series with a match to play.[10] In the third and final ODI, Afghanistan won by 75 runs, to take the series 3–0.[11]
Following the series, Dutch bowlerVivian Kingma was found guilty ofball tampering,[12] and was given a four-match ban.[13]
