Durgesh Pathak is an Indian politician and was Member of Legislative Assembly in Delhi. He is a senior member of theAam Aadmi Party andPolitical Affairs Committee (the highest decision-making body) andNational Executive In-charge of the party.[1]

He won theDelhi Assembly by-election, 2022 as the AAP candidate for the seat ofMLA from theRajendra Nagar assembly constituency in Delhi.[2][3]

He was appointed Chairman ofCommittee on Government Undertakings of (Delhi) andCommittee on Municipal Corporation of (Delhi) post MCD Elections 2022.

In 2025 Delhi Assembly Elections he lost to BJP candidate in Rajinder Nagar constituency.[4][5]

Early life and career

He completed Master's in English from Allahabad University and moved to Delhi in 2010.[1][6]

Politics

In 2013, he managed the election campaign for AAP national convenorArvind Kejriwal and helped defeatSheila Dixit the incumbent Delhi Chief Minister.[1]

He is a member ofPolitical Affairs Committee (the highest decision-making body) andNational Executive In-charge of the party.[6] He is in-charge ofMunicipal Corporation of Delhi election for AAP.[7][8][9][10][11][6]In June 2022, he contested fromRajendra Nagar inDelhi Assembly by-election, 2022 against BJP's candidate Rajesh Bhatia and won by 11,000 lead.[3] He lost his seat in the 2025 polls to BJP candidate Umang Bajaj by a margin of over 1,200 votes.
