Dunlop Standard Aerospace GroupLtd. was formed in 1998 from the assets ofBTR Aerospace Group when they were purchased byDoughty Hanson & Co.

In 2004 the company was sold and split into two. TheCarlyle Group, a private equity firm, acquired the Standard Aero division, now known asStandardAero. StandardAero is anaviation maintenance, repair and overhaul company headquartered inTempe,Arizona.[1]

Meggitt plc acquired the Dunlop Aerospace Design and Manufacturing division.[2]
