Dumka Airport (IATA:none,ICAO:VEDK), also known asSido Kanhu Airport, is aprivate airport and a military base that is located inDumka,Jharkhand,India. The airport currently does not have any scheduled commercial services and is used only by gliders,[4] private companies and government aircraft.[3] Scheduled services were to begin to the state capitalRanchi under the government'sUDAN scheme.[5][6][7] The airport's expansion is underway for the commencement of scheduled passenger services.[8][9]There are also plans to use the facility for training pilots.[10] On 27 March 2025, AnCommunications, Navigation, and Surveillance (CNS) &Air Traffic Management (ATM) agreement has been signed between the Civil Aviation Department,Govt of Jharkhand, andAirport Authority of India paving the way for enhanced operational readiness.[11]
