Duberdicus or Duberdico, is alusitanian theonym, in the cultural area ofLusitania (in the territory of modernPortugal). It has historically been assumed that this was a water god, but Alarcão 2009 disagrees with this assertion (as well as several other alleged cases of water deities in the Lusitanian sphere) and assumes that it is a theonym associated with a specific fortress.[1]
