Dubai Basketball is an Emirati professionalbasketball team based inDubai. Founded in 2024, the team is playing in theABA League starting from the 2024–25 season.

History

Rumours of a Dubai-located team joining theEuroLeague began in 2022,[2] and talks were confirmed in January 2024.[3] On 19 March 2024, theABA League officially announced BC Dubai would join the league for the next three seasons, starting from 2024.[4] The teams from the league reportedly receive2.5 million annually from Dubai, who is also paying all travel expenses.[5]Jurica Golemac was signed as the team's first headcoach,[6] whileNate Mason was the first officially signed player for the team.[7] Later in the summer, Dubai BC announced that the 17,000 seaterCoca-Cola Arena would serve as the team's home arena.[8]

In their first ABA game, on September 22, 2024, Dubai defeatedRed Star Belgrade at home.[9]
