TheDrama Desk Award for Outstanding Music is an annual award presented by Drama Desk in recognition of achievements inmusical theatre (distinct fromincidental music inplays) across collectiveBroadway,off-Broadway andoff-off-Broadway productions inNew York City. The award was originally entitledBest Composer, before being renamed to its current title in 1969. The award is often referred to asOutstanding Score of a Musical.
