Dov Yosef Tiefenbach (born December 8, 1981) is aCanadianactor andmusician.

Life and career

Tiefenbach was born on December 8, 1981, inToronto,Ontario. He isJewish.[1] He began his acting career at the age of 12, starting incommercials, before playing the role of Josh Avery in thetelevision seriesRoboCop (1994). He landed his first starring role as Murray Murray in theshort filmLove Child (1995) alongside actressNeve Campbell.

After those pivotal first projects, Dov was cast as the lead role Nick Burns in the 1996Broadway productionA Thousand Clowns alongside actorJudd Hirsch. After returning toToronto, his name began circulating as he worked his way further into thefilm industry, starring in the lead roles of bothLittle Men andCheaters. In 2003 he won aLeo Award for Best Supporting Male Performance inFlower & Garnet (2002).

His most recent roles include the reclusive writer Lucky Carroway in thetelevision seriesThis Space for Rent (2006), the troubled young Adrian in thepsychological thrillerThe Dark Hours (2005) and the hippie drug dealer Bradley Thomas in thecomedyHarold & Kumar Go to White Castle (2004).

Before he moved toLos Angeles, he was the frontman for theToronto-based "dirty indie pop" band Theresa's Sound-World[2] (named after aSonic Youth song).
