Douglas Joseph Widell[3] (born September 23, 1966) is an American former professionalfootball player who was aguard for nine seasons in theNational Football League (NFL). He playedcollege football for theBoston College Eagles and was selected by theDenver Broncos in the second round of the1989 NFL draft.[4] He was a part of the Broncos'Super Bowl XXIV losing team. His brotherDave Widell was his teammate atBoston College and with the Broncos.
