TheDothan Metropolitan Statistical Area, as defined by theUnited States Census Bureau, is an area consisting ofGeneva,Henry, andHouston counties in southeasternAlabama, anchored by the city ofDothan, county seat of Houston County. As of the2010 census, the MSA had a population of 145,639.[1]

The Dothan Metropolitan Statistical Area is a significant part of theDothan-Enterprise-Ozark Combined Statistical Area, which is composed of the Dothan metropolitan area, theEnterprise micropolitan area, and theOzark micropolitan area.[3] As of the2010 census, the CSA had a population of 245,838.[1]

The small portion of Dothan in Dale County is considered to be part of the Ozark Micropolitan Statistical Area, while the Houston and Henry county portions are part of the Dothan Metropolitan Statistical Area.
