Dorian Alexander Boose (January 29, 1974 – November 22, 2016) was anAmerican footballdefensive end in theNational Football League (NFL) for theNew York Jets and theWashington Redskins. He playedcollege football atWashington State University and wasdrafted in the second round of the1998 NFL draft.[2][3] He played two seasons for theCanadian Football League (CFL) with theEdmonton Eskimos in 2003 and 2004.
Boose died by suicide on November 22, 2016, in Edmonton, Alberta.[4][5] He was one of at least 345NFL players to be diagnosed after death with chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), caused by repeated hits to the head.[6][7]
