Donald Andrew Tannahill (born February 21, 1949, inPenetanguishene,Ontario) is a retired professionalice hockey player who played 222 games in theWorld Hockey Association (WHA) and 111 games in theNational Hockey League (NHL). He played in the NHL for theVancouver Canucks and in the WHA with theMinnesota Fighting Saints, andCalgary Cowboys. He also played for several minor league teams in a career that lasted from 1969 to 1978. Tannahill was selected third overall by theBoston Bruins in the1969 NHL Amateur Draft, but never played for the Bruins.
