Donald J. Allard (April 21, 1936 – May 4, 2002[1]) was an American college andprofessional footballquarterback selected by theWashington Redskins in the first round of the1959 NFL draft.
He playedcollege football atBoston College, and played professionally in theAmerican Football League for theNew York Titans in1961 and theBoston Patriots in1962, in theCanadian Football League for theSaskatchewan Roughriders from1959 to1960 and theMontreal Alouettes from1961 to1962,[2] and in theAtlantic Coast Football League with theBoston/New Bedford Sweepers from 1964 to 1965. He was the highest-draftedBoston College Eagles football player in school history untilMatt Ryan in2008.
