Dominion 6.19 was aprofessional wrestlingpay-per-view (PPV) event promoted byNew Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). The event took place on June 19, 2010, inOsaka,Osaka, at theOsaka Prefectural Gymnasium. The event featured nine matches, three of which were contested forchampionships.[1][2][3]

Much likethe previous year, Dominion 6.19 also featured wrestlers fromPro Wrestling Noah; namelyGo Shiozaki,Muhammad Yone andNaomichi Marufuji.[1] It was the second event under theDominion name.

Storylines

Dominion 6.19 featured tenprofessional wrestling matches that involved different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds andstorylines. Wrestlers portrayedvillains,heroes, orless distinguishable characters in the scripted events that built tension and culminated in a wrestling match or series of matches.[4]

Event

The event also sawShinsuke Nakamura make his return from a shoulder injury, defeating the debuting formerWWE wrestler andmixed martial artistDaniel Puder.[1] The match led to Nakamura and Puder teaming up for the2010 G1 Tag League.[5] During the event,Bad Intentions (Giant Bernard andKarl Anderson) captured theIWGP Tag Team Championship, starting a reign, which would become the longest in the title's history.[1] The event featured the culmination of astoryline rivalry betweenHiroshi Tanahashi andToru Yano in aHair vs. Hair match, where Tanahashi was victorious.[1] Following the match,Tajiri made a surprise return to the promotion, saving Tanahashi from Yano andTakashi Iizuka and helping him shave Yano bald.[1] This also led to Tanahashi and Tajiri teaming up for the 2010 G1 Tag League.[5] The event concluded with NJPW'sTogi Makabe andPrince Devitt declaring the promotion's supremacy overPro Wrestling Noah, with Devitt having captured theIWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship fromNaomichi Marufuji and Makabe retaining theIWGP Heavyweight Championship againstGo Shiozaki.[1]
