Dome of al-Khalili

TheDome of al-Khalili (Arabic:قبة الخليلي,romanizedQubbat al-Khalili;Turkish:El-Halili Kubbesi) or theHebronite is a small domed-building located in the central platform of theTemple Mount (Haram ash-Sharif), north of theDome of the Rock in theOld City ofJerusalem. The building is made of bricks which are currently tarnished. The Dome of al-Khalili was built in the early 18th century duringOttoman rule ofPalestine in dedication toShaykhMuhammad al-Khalili, a scholar offiqh who died in 1734.[1][2]
