Dolná Streda (Hungarian:Alsószerdahely) is avillage andmunicipality in theGalanta District of theTrnava Region of westernSlovakia.
Inhistorical records thevillage was first mentioned in 1283. Before the establishment of independentCzechoslovakia in 1918, it was part ofPozsony County within theKingdom of Hungary.
Themunicipality lies at anelevation of 125 metres and covers anarea of 13.47 km2 (5 sq mi).
