TheDjankun are anAboriginal Australian people ofFar North Queensland.

Country

According toNorman Tindale, the Djankun had 1,300 square miles (3,400 km2) of tribal territory in what is now the state ofQueensland. The northern limits were aroundMount Mulligan andThornborough, while to the south, they ran toAlmaden. Their western frontier was aroundMungana while the eastern extension ran toDimbulah near the headwaters of theWalsh River.[1]
