Djibloho (alternative name inSpanish:Djibló),[1] officially theAdministrative City of Djibloho (Spanish:Ciudad administrativa de Djibloho),[2] is aprovince ofEquatorial Guinea, formally established by law in 2017.[3] The administrative city was initially carved out ofAñisok, adistrict inWele-Nzas,[4] on 1 August 2015,[5] and was created to eventually replaceMalabo as Equatorial Guinea's national capital.[6]

Djibloho comprises two urban districts,Ciudad de la Paz andMbere.[5] The capital is Ciudad de la Paz ("City of Peace"),[7] known as Oyala until 2017.[8] In the 2017 national parliamentary election, Djibloho elected onesenator and onedeputy.[9]
Djibloho's first governor, Marcelino Oluy Abeso, was appointed in 2018[10] and served until 18 August 2020, when he died in a car crash.[11] He was succeeded by Marcelo Castro Ngua Nkulu.[12]
