Diyala club played in theIraqi Premier League for the first time in the1975–76 season,[2] and was relegated to theIraqi First Division League. The team played in the Premier League for 14 seasons until the2010–11 season,[3] during which it was relegated 4 times, and withdrew twice.[4] In the2023–24 season, Diyala managed to won the Iraqi Premier Division League and was promoted to the Iraq Stars League again for the2024–25 season.[5][6][7]
