Division No. 8 is acensus division inAlberta,Canada. It is located in the south-central portion ofcentral Alberta and includes the City ofRed Deer and surrounding areas. The division forms the central segment of theCalgary–Edmonton Corridor. Division No. 8 is the smallest census division in Alberta according to area.[3]

In the2021 Census of Population conducted byStatistics Canada, Division No. 8 had a population of213,470 living in83,983 of its92,439 total private dwellings, a change of1.9% from its 2016 population of209,395. With a land area of 9,890.05 km2 (3,818.57 sq mi), it had a population density of21.6/km2 (55.9/sq mi) in 2021.[2]
