Disney Treasure is the sixthcruise ship owned and operated byDisney Cruise Line, a subsidiary ofThe Walt Disney Company. Her sister ship,Disney Wish, was launched in 2022.Disney Treasure is the second ship of theWish-class (Triton class). She entered service on December 21, 2024, and was followed byDisney Destiny on November 20, 2025. She sails Western and Eastern Caribbean itineraries.
In March 2016,Disney Cruise Line announced that it had commissioned two new ships, described as larger thanDisney Dream andDisney Fantasy but with an equivalent number of staterooms.[3][4] A third ship of the class, the laterDisney Treasure, was announced on July 15, 2017, at theD23 Expo.[5] Delivery was planned for 2022, but postponed until 2024 in 2020.[6] In March 2018, Disney Cruise Line released the first rendering of its new generation of cruise ships.[7][8] The 140,000-ton cruise liners would beLNG-powered and would accommodate at least 2,500 guests.[9] In January 2019, the class of ship was confirmed asTriton in public documents published byPort Canaveral,[10][11] however, is now following the standard naming of class after the first ship.[12] The first of these ships,Disney Wish, was delivered in June 2022.
On September 11, 2022, the sixth ship was officially announced asDisney Treasure at the D23 Expo. The ship is inspired by the theme of adventure, with the Grand Hall inspired by the grandeur and mystery of a gilded palace which draws on inspiration from real-world Asia and Africa, as well as paying homage to Agrabah.[13]
On November 27, 2022, the first section of the ship arrived atMeyer Werft where construction took place.[14] The floating engine room unit ("FERU", 140 m × 39 m, 459 ft × 128 ft, including MAN type 12V 51/60DF engines and two LNG tanks) was built at Neptun Werft, Rostock and was transferred to Meyer Werft later.[15][16][17][18]
On March 30, 2023, thekeel laying ceremony occurred at Meyer Werft with the keel coin showcasingVoyager Minnie, Captain Minnie's new adventure-themed outfit forDisney Treasure.[19][20] On July 12, 2023,Disney Parks Blog started an official "ship's log" documenting the shipbuilding process ofDisney Treasure. This was updated on July 18, 2023, to debut the ship's stern characters:Captain Hook andPeter Pan.[21] The hull of the ship was completed in December 2023.[22]
The ship was floated in the drydock in March 2024 for the first time[23] and left the drydock in August. It left the shipyard towardsEemshaven on September 18,[24][25][26][27][28][29] where it arrived on September 19.[30][31] The ship left Eemshaven on September 25 at 23:14 (UTC+2) for Sea trials in theSkagerrak.[32]
On October 24, the ship was delivered inEemshaven.[33] She left Eemshaven on October 29 (16:39 (UTC+1)) towards Funchal, Portugal (ETA 2024-11-03 07:00 (UTC+0)).[32][34]
On November 11, 2024, while on its delivery voyage, the ship rescued a family of four from a sinking sailboat off the coast of Bermuda.Disney Treasure was sailing 80 miles (130 km) from the boat whose bilge pump could not contain the flood.Disney Treasure rescued all four occupants.[35][36]
The christening took place on November 19 atNew York City.[37] She set sail on her maiden voyage on December 21, 2024, fromPort Canaveral,Florida, and includes 7-night voyages to theEastern and Western Caribbean.[38]
The ship has agross tonnage of 144,256[2] with 1,250 staterooms.[39]
On September 5, 2023, Disney Cruise Line shared a first look at their newest ship,Disney Treasure, which embarked on December 21, 2024.Disney Treasure, similar toDisney Wish, would have several restaurants, immersive spaces and experiences themed to various Disney characters and properties, includingWalt Disney Pictures,Marvel Cinematic Universe,Star Wars, andPixar. The ship features aCoco-themed restaurant, a Tomorrow Tower Suite inspired byEPCOT and aJungle Cruise-inspired lounge.[citation needed]
In October 2023, Disney announced that the ship would also feature a bar themed after its attractionThe Haunted Mansion, a first in the cruise line's history.[40]

The ship features awater coaster at sea, called theAquaMouse, which is similar toDisney Wish's version of the water coaster, but it includes a brand-newMickey andMinnie Mouse short calledCurse of the Golden Egg, which is be expected to include immersive show scenes, special effects and incredible ocean views, with some splashing, drifting and sliding through a mysterious ancient temple in search of legendary treasure.

Every night of aDisney Treasure cruise, guests dine at a different restaurant. This is called "rotational dining". On a Disney ship guests rotate along with their servers which helps develop the relationship between diner and wait staff.[41]
The rotational dining restaurants onDisney Treasure are 1923, located on deck 3 aft; Worlds of Marvel, located on deck 4 aft; and Plaza de Coco, located on deck 5 aft. As well as rotational dining, theDisney Treasure also has two specialty restaurants: PALO Steakhouse and Enchanté, which incur an additional cost and are exclusively for adults.
