Discovery Kids is an Indiancable andsatellite television channel operated byWarner Bros. Discovery India . The channel launched on 7 August 2012. The channel primarily airsanimated shows inHindi ,Telugu ,Kannada ,Malayalam , andTamil .[ 1]
Logo formerly used by Discovery Kids. Discovery Kids is the first channel in the kids' genre in India byDiscovery Networks Asia Pacific launched on 7 August 2012 inEnglish ,Hindi , andTamil . Earlier it was the name of an Infotainment and edutainment kids programming block onDiscovery Channel India which ran from 2001 to 2005.[ 2] [ 3] [ 4] [ 5]
Discovery India announced plans to revamp the channel in 2018 with new IPs.[ 6] Discovery Jeet launched by removing all existing shows, except forMister Maker ZeeQ 'sBandbudh Aur Budbak the whole day.[ 7]
Later, the channel changed its logo to the current logo. To expand its reach in the South, aTamil-language audio track was added again and later aTelugu-language audio track on 1 April 2018.[ 8] [ 9]
The revamp was ultimately completed on 21 April 2018, coinciding with the premiere of Discovery's latest local animation property at time, calledLittle Singham Singham [ 10] English Audio Track was added again in July and was removed on 22 April 2020.[ 11] Kannada andMalayalam were added on 19 October 2019.
Discovery Kids saw an increase in ratings since the release ofBandbudh Aur Budbak on the channel.[ 12] Little Singham [ 13] [ 14]
On 8 November 2021, Discovery Kids India launchedDoki fromLatin America .[ 15]
TheWarner Bros. Discovery India merger was held in mid-July 2022, making bothCartoon Network andPogo sister channels to Discovery Kids.[ 16] Little Singham and replaced it withRoll No 21 .[ 17] Little Singham moved to Pogo on 24 December 2022.[ 18]

On 22 May 2023, the channel launchedThe Tom and Jerry Show Tom and Jerry Tales [ 20]
