Dion Adrian Lambert (born February 12, 1969) is an American former professionalfootballdefensive back who played three seasons in theNational Football League (NFL) with theNew England Patriots andSeattle Seahawks. He was selected by the Patriots in the fourth round of the1992 NFL draft after playingcollege football at theUniversity of California, Los Angeles. Lambert was also a member of theAmsterdam Admirals of theWorld League of American Football (WLAF).
Dion Adrian Lambert was born on February 12, 1969, inLake View Terrace, California.[1] He attendedJohn F. Kennedy High School inLos Angeles, California.[1]
Lambert playedcollege football for theUCLA Bruins of theUniversity of California, Los Angeles.[1] He was on the Bruins' freshman team in 1987.[1] He was a four-yearletterman from 1988 to 1991.[1] He made one interception in 1989 and one interception in 1990.[2]
Lambert was selected by theNew England Patriots in the fourth round, with the 90th overall pick, of the1992 NFL draft.[3] He officially signed with the team on July 25.[4] He played in all 16 games for the Patriots in 1992, recording 23 tackles, one sack, and one fumble recovery.[3] Lambert appeared in 14 games, starting four, during the 1993 season, totaling 28 tackles, one interception, and one fumble recovery.[3] He was released by the Patriots on August 28, 1994.[4]
Lambert signed with theSeattle Seahawks on December 20, 1994.[4] He played in one game, a start, for the Seahawks in 1994, recording five solo tackles and one assisted tackle.[3] He was released on September 6, 1995.[4]
Lambert was a member of theAmsterdam Admirals of theWorld League of American Football (WLAF) in 1997.[1]
Lambert was later ahigh school football coach.[5]
