Dileesh Nair (born 23 July 1981) is an Indianfilm director andscreenwriter who works inMalayalam cinema. He started out as a 2D animator. He made his script writing debut withSalt N' Pepper (2011) along withSyam Pushkaran.[1] He debuted as film director withTamaar Padaar (2014).[2]

Dileesh Nair was born inThodupuzha,Kerala. He worked as a2Danimator for clients inAustralia and theMiddle East based out ofKochi.[3]

Film career

Dileesh Nair penned the script forSalt N' Pepper with his friendSyam Pushkaran.Salt N’Pepper’sTelugu,Tamil andHindi remake rights have been bought byactor-film directorPrakash Raj. In 2012, he wrote the script forDa Thadiya (2012); another film directed byAashiq Abu; along withSyam Pushkaran and Abhilash S Kumar. He also wrote script for the movieIdukki Gold (film) (2013).[4] He has also appeared in cameo roles in films such as22 Female Kottayam,Da Thadiya,Idiots.

He made his directorial debut withTamaar Padaar starringPrithviraj Sukumaran,Baburaj,Chemban Vinod Jose and Srinda Ashab in pivotal roles.[5] The film received a mixed response from the audience and critics.
