Dietrich Jells (born April 11, 1972) is an American former professionalfootballwide receiver. He played in theNational Football League (NFL) from 1996 to 1999. In his first two seasons, he was a member of theNew England Patriots after being selected out of theUniversity of Pittsburgh by theKansas City Chiefs in the1996 NFL draft.[1] With the Patriots, Jells appeared inSuper Bowl XXXI, a Patriots loss. In 1998–99, he played with thePhiladelphia Eagles.[2] Jells scored two career touchdowns, both in 1999 as an Eagle.[3]
