Dieke Annemiek van Groningen (Dutch:[ˈdikəvɑŋˈɣroːnɪŋə(n)]; born 19 October 1979) is a Dutch politician of the conservative-liberalPeople's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD). Born inNijmegen, she studiedbusiness administration atErasmus University Rotterdam.[1] She became a member of theRotterdamMunicipal Council in March 2018, and she has led the VVD in the council since 2024.[1][2] Van Groningen advocated for greater latitude for hospitality operators and for adopting a stricter approach toward traffic offenders.[2] On 5 September 2025, she succeededAukje de Vries as member of theHouse of Representatives. Her term ended on 11 November 2025.[3]
Van Groningen is married, and she has two children.[1]
