Diego Nargiso (Italian pronunciation: [ˈdjɛːɡo narˈdʒiːzo] ; born 15 March 1970) is a former tennis player from Italy.
Having turned professional in 1987, Nargiso represented his native country at the1988 Summer Olympics inSeoul , where he was defeated in the second round by America's eventual runner-upTim Mayotte . He also competed in the men's doubles at the1992 and1996 Olympics .[ 1]
Nargiso was the first Italian tennis player to win the Junior Wimbledon championship, which he did in 1987.
The left-handed Nargiso reached his highest singlesATP -ranking on 10 October 1988, when he became the number 67 in the world.
