TheDidouyu (Chinese:地豆于) orDidougan (Chinese:地豆干)[1] was a tribe during the 5th-century in westernManchuria. Their territory included theTujue (Eastern Turk, on their west), theRouran, and theKhitan (on their southeast). They were attacked by bothGoguryeo and Rouran in 479, allied for this operation.[2] In fear, a big part of Kithan fled southward to submit toNorthern Wei.[3] Didouyu were one of the northern branches of theXianbei.[4]
