Dickens is a crater onMercury. It has a diameter of 78 kilometers.[1] Its name was adopted by theInternational Astronomical Union (IAU) in 1976. Dickens is named for the English novelistCharles Dickens, who lived from 1812 to 1870.[2] The crater was first imaged byMariner 10 in 1974.[3]
The craterKeats is north of Dickens,Han Kan is to the northeast, andMartí is to the southwest.
