Richard Joseph Bassi (January 1, 1915 – August 12, 1973) was anAmerican footballoffensive lineman in theNational Football League (NFL) for theWashington Redskins,Chicago Bears,Philadelphia Eagles, and thePittsburgh Steelers. He also played for theSan Francisco 49ers of theAll-America Football Conference (AAFC). Bassi playedcollege football at theUniversity of Santa Clara and wasdrafted in the fourth round of the1937 NFL draft.[1][2]
