Diarmuid Wilson (born 20 November 1965) is an IrishFianna Fáil politician who has served as asenator for theAdministrative Panel since September 2002.[1]
A member ofCavan County Council from 1999 to 2004, he was first elected to the Seanad in 2002 and was re-elected in 2007 and 2011.[2] He is the nephew ofJohn Wilson, who was aTD, Minister andTánaiste. He is theFianna Fáil whip in the Seanad and spokesperson on Defence. Wilson is a member of the cross-partyOireachtas Friends of Israel in theOireachtas.[3]
