Sheikh Daulat Ali ofINC defeatedAbdul Quiyom Molla ofCPI(M) in 1996.[6]Abdul Quiyom Molla ofCPI(M) defeated Nazrul Islam Molla ofINC in 1991,[7] Monoranjan Kayal ofINC in 1987,[8] Dibakar Ghosh ofINC in 1982,[9] and Sankari Prasad Mondal ofJanata Party in 1977.[10][11]
