Dexter Joeng Woo Lembikisa (born 4 November 2003) is a professionalfootballer who plays as aright-back forEFL League One clubBarnsley, on loan fromPremier League clubWolverhampton Wanderers. Born in England, he plays for theJamaica national team.

Club career

Lembikisa joinedWolverhampton Wanderers' youth academy at the age of 13, and worked his way up their youth categories. On 10 November 2021, he signed his first professional contract with Wolves and promoted to their reserves in 2021.[4] He started training with their senior team in the summer of 2022.[5] He made his professional debut with Wolves as a late substitute with Wolves in a 1–0EFL Cup tie withLeeds United on 9 November 2022.[6]

On 27 July Lembikisa joinedEFL Championship sideRotherham United on loan.[7] He scored his first senior goal in the 2–1 win againstNorwich City on 2 September 2023.[8] Lembikisa was then loaned toScottish Premiership clubHearts in January 2024.[9] He made his debut for Hearts on 23 January 2024, playing 90 minutes and scoring in a 3–2 win overDundee[10]

In September 2024, Lembikisa joinedSwiss Super League clubYverdon-Sport on a season-long loan deal.[11] On 1 January 2025, the loan was terminated early.[12] On 4th February 2025, he moved toEFL League One clubBarnsley on loan until the end of the season.

International career

Lembikisa was born in England to aCongolese father and Jamaican mother.[13] He was called up to represent theJamaica U20s for the2022 CONCACAF U-20 Championship.[14]

He debuted for the seniorJamaica national team in a friendly 1–0 loss toTrinidad and Tobago on 11 March 2023.[15] He later was included in Jamaica's selection for the2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup.[16] He appeared in all three group games and supplied an assist for the final goal in a 4–1 win againstTrinidad and Tobago, helping the team advance to the knockout stage.
