Detlev Spangenberg (born 10 April 1944) is a German politician who represents theAlternative for Germany (AfD). He has served as a member of theBundestag from the state ofSaxony since 2017.
Spangenberg was born inChemnitz,Saxony. During military service inEast Germany, he was a spy for theStasi.[1] He became member of the Bundestag after the2017 German federal election.[2] He is a member of the Committee on Petitions and the Committee on Health.[3][4]
