Deon Bush (born August 14, 1993) is an American professionalfootballsafety for theKansas City Chiefs of theNational Football League (NFL). He playedcollege football atMiami and was drafted by theChicago Bears in the fourth round of the2016 NFL draft.

Bush was selected in the fourth round (124th overall) by theChicago Bears in the2016 NFL draft.[3] He signed a four-year contract worth $2.8 million with a $526,216 signing bonus.[4] Bush made his NFL debut on September 25 against theDallas Cowboys.[5] In his third career game, he logged his first careertackle against theGreen Bay Packers. He made his first career start on November 20, logging seven tackles.[6] On December 18, Bush recorded his firstpass breakup against the Green Bay Packers.[7] Bush finished his rookie season with six starts in eleven games, 22 tackles and a pass breakup.
Bush had six tackles in 13 games in 2017.
Bush recorded his first NFL sack on November 22, 2018, when he sackedMatthew Stafford in the second quarter of the Bears' 23–16 victory over theDetroit Lions. On December 23, Bush started at free safety against theSan Francisco 49ers in place of an injuredEddie Jackson; he recorded two tackles in the 14–9 Chicago victory.[8][9]
Bush re-signed with the Bears on March 26, 2020.[10] In Week 2 of the 2020 season against theNew York Giants, Bush recorded his first career interception off a pass thrown byDaniel Jones during the 17–13 win.[11] Bush was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list by the team on November 8, 2020,[12] and was activated four days later.[13]
On March 17, 2021, Bush re-signed with the Bears.[14] He suffered a quad injury in Week 6 and was placed oninjured reserve on October 19, 2021.[15] He was activated on November 20.[16]
Bush signed with theKansas City Chiefs on March 28, 2022.[17] Bush wonSuper Bowl LVII when the Chiefs defeated thePhiladelphia Eagles.[18]
On April 3, 2023, Bush re-signed with the Chiefs. He was released on August 29, 2023, and re-signed to thepractice squad.[19][20] He was signed to the active roster on December 16.[21] In the AFC Championship Game against theBaltimore Ravens, Bush recorded an interception onLamar Jackson to prevail their victory and a trip toSuper Bowl LVIII. The Chiefs defeated theSan Francisco 49ers 25–22 to give Bush his second straight championship.[22]
On March 14, 2024, Bush re-signed with the Chiefs on a one-year contract.[23][24] He was released on August 27, 2024, and re-signed to the practice squad.[25][26] He signed a reserve/future contract on February 11, 2025.[27]
