Denver Jay Hume (born 11 August 1998) is an English professionalfootballer who plays as aleft-back forEFL League Two clubFleetwood Town.

Career

Sunderland

Born inAshington,[2] Hume joinedSunderland's academy at the age of 10,[3] and made his debut for Sunderland in the final match of the2017–18 season as a second-half substitute in a 3–0 victory overWolverhampton Wanderers.[4][5] He scored his first goal for Sunderland on 11 January 2020 in a 4–0 victory overWycombe Wanderers.[6][7]

Portsmouth

Hume joinedPortsmouth on 26 January 2022 for an undisclosed fee. He signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the option of an additional year.[8]

Grimsby Town

On 1 February 2024, Hume departed Portsmouth on a free transfer, joiningLeague Two clubGrimsby Town on a short-term contract until the end of the season.[9] He signed a new one-year contract in June 2024.[10]

Fleetwood Town

After turning down a new deal with Grimsby, Hume signed forFleetwood Town on 27 June 2025 on a two-year deal.[11][12]
