Dendropsophus triangulum, commonly known as thetriangle treefrog, is a species offrog in the familyHylidae.It isnative to theAmazon Basin ofBrazil,Ecuador, andPeru, but may also be present inColombia.[1]
Dendropsophus triangulum is known from Brazil (Acre,Amazonas, andPará), Ecuador (Orellana andSucumbíos), and Peru (Cusco andLoreto) at altitudes of 37–387 m (121–1,270 ft)above sea level.[1][2] It can be found inprimary andsecondarytropical rainforests, around temporary ponds in clearings near forests, and inaquaculture ponds.[1]
Dendropsophus triangulum reproduces in temporary water bodies, with tadpoles developing in water after hatching from eggs laid on leaves.[1]
