Democratic Space (Spazio Democratico, SD) is aChristian-democratic faction within theDemocratic Party (PD), apolitical party in Italy.
It was launched in February 2015 by a group of leading Christian democrats, mainlyChristian leftists in the tradition ofGiuseppe Dossetti andGiorgio La Pira, who supportedMatteo Renzi's leadership. They notably includedGraziano Delrio,Lorenzo Guerini,Matteo Richetti andAngelo Rughetti.[1]
