Delmar Harold Paddock (June 8, 1887 – February 6, 1952) was aMajor League Baseballthird baseman. He played part of the1912 season in the majors with two different teams, theChicago White Sox and theNew York Highlanders.
Paddock began his professional baseball career as apitcher with theVancouver Beavers of theNorthwestern League in1908. After two years with Vancouver, he was converted to aninfielder in1910 while playing for theCalgary Bronchos of theWestern Canada League. He was purchased by the White Sox from theDubuque Hustlers of theIllinois–Indiana–Iowa League after the1911 season.
After the 1912 season, Paddock returned to the minor leagues with theRochester Hustlers, who purchased him from New York. Starting that season, he spent the rest of his career primarily as anoutfielder, although he did pitch briefly for theMitchell Kernels of theSouth Dakota League in1920. He retired after the1921 season, which he spent with theSioux City Packers of theWestern League.
