Decamerion Jalynn Richardson (born March 16, 2001) is an American professionalfootballcornerback for theLas Vegas Raiders of theNational Football League (NFL). He playedcollege football for theMississippi State Bulldogs and was selected by the Raiders in the fourth round of the2024 NFL draft.
Richardson grew up inCullen, Louisiana and attendedBossier High School where he lettered in football andtrack & field. Coming out of high school, Richardson was rated as a three star recruit where he committed to play for theMississippi State Bulldogs.[1][2]
In Richardson's first season in 2021, he made 13 tackles.[3] During the 2022 season, Richardson notched 85 tackles and three pass deflections.[4] In 2023, Richardson tallied 79 tackles which finished tenth in the SEC along with seven pass deflections.[5] After the conclusion of the 2023 season, Richardson decided to enter theNCAA transfer portal.[6][7]
Richardson decided to transfer to play for theOle Miss Rebels.[8][9] However just under a month later, Richardson decided to declare for the2024 NFL draft.[10][11]
