Deborah Spera is an American television producer.[1]
She began her career atEden Roc Films, where she worked onWhat's Eating Gilbert Grape andFrom Dusk till Dawn. Spera spent eight years atShowtime, where she oversaw movies such asThe Baby Dance (written and directed byJane Anderson),Wild Iris,12 Angry Men,Inherit the Wind,On the Beach andFreak City, and executive-produced the movieFathers and Sons.
Prior to her tenure at Showtime, she was in features atRegency Films and worked onGuilty by Suspicion,JFK,Free Willy,Under Siege andSommersby.
Spera began the television arm of theMark Gordon Company in 2004 and served as President until 2011. During her tenure withMark Gordon she served as Executive Producer onCriminal Minds,Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior,Reaper and theLifetime seriesArmy Wives until she left in 2011[2] to form her own company, One-Two Punch Productions.
Spera served as Executive Producer on the first season ofMTV'sFinding Carter.[3]
