Bradley Westell (1965/6 – 31 July 1995)[2] was a Britishcommercial diver who died in theNorth Sea offBacton, Norfolk after hisumbilical was dragged into one of the thrusters of thediving support vesselStena Orelia. This indirectly led to the 1997 conviction of diving supervisor Kenneth Roberts forperverting the course of justice,[3][4] and first prison sentence for a crime offshore working in theNorth Sea oil industry.[5]
