De Imperatoribus Romanis (DIR) is an onlinepeer-reviewed encyclopedia about the emperors of theRoman Empire, including theByzantine Empire. It was established in 1996 byMichael DiMaio, and hosted atSalve Regina University.[1] The site has been defunct since June 2023,[2] but it is still available in theInternet Archive.
TheCambridge Companion to the Age of Constantine says that its articles "offer sound overviews and a regularly updated bibliography".[3]
